FSX Shadows

Featured Replies

There seems to be an attempt in FSX to improve the way ground shadows behave. Although the results are a little mixed. For aircraft things are much the same, full shadows all the time. For native FSX models (such as objects placed with the object placement tool) the shadows are not as stark and, when the weather is overcast the shadows disappear. For Gmax object created with the new gamepack the results are the same as for the aircraft. So, an attempt to get things right but no cigar...The behavior for native FSX models is getting better, but the shadows should go from full to faint when the weather is overcast. The above applies for my system (Nvidia 7600GS) with Ground Scenery shadows ON.Geoff
