Possible to decompile FSX BGL with shoreline?

Featured Replies

Hi,Is it possible to decompile a FSX BGL file containing vector data (cvxNNNN.bgl) and get an XML file as output? BglAnalyze X and Bgl2Xml seem to not be able to extract data from cvx files.I'm working with a scenery where I've recreated an island using FSX KML. I now need to recreate default FSX coastlines in a LOD cell and I can't use Earth Google to reproduce the coastline because it differs from FSX.Here is a picture showing my need to create a water class polygon that match up with the default FSX coastline:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/170010.jpgIf I use Earth Google to create the water polygon I end up with the problems shown in this picture:http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/170011.jpgI'd appreciate any help :-)Ulf B

Hello,I think that you need: (1) to exclude the default coastline (2) make a new coastline that follows your new water polygon. You can not decompile FSX vector BGL files, as far as I know. Kind Regards, Luis

Luis,Thanks for the advice. Some boring work to be done ;-)Ulf B
