Autogen question: houses instead of apartments...

Featured Replies

Hi all!I'm using FSX SDK Annotator Tool to place some buildings in a custom scenery. I set the sliders in the Building Properties window to have only 3-5 floor buildings. But at runtime, FSX shows only 1-2 houses instead of 3-5 apartments. The base area of each building is 350 square meters. If you read the SDK specifications you understand that FSX forces all buildings that have an area of less than 625 square meters or greater than 1600 square meters, to have 1 or 2 floors. The question is: can I modify these limits? Can I obtain a 3-5 building olso with a base area less than 625 square meters?Thank you!AquiP.S.: Excuse me for my bad english.

Hmmm, I've always seen this feature as quite useful -- it's a simple way to force a particular building to the height you need. A typical city centre might be made up of tall office blocks, surrounded by warehouses etc, interspersed with city dwellings. I normally create a range of different footprints in a row, load up the sim and note which ones are constrained because of their size. I can then sort them and copy/paste them knowing that they'll behave the way I want. However that doesn't help you, I don't think you can overcome this limit.Godzone Virtual Flight, for 'Real New Zealand' sceneryhttp://www.windowlight.co.nz
