Recommended Posts

So for the following lat/lon wich if any of the decimal equivalant would have a minus signs. ANd when does one know when to include a minus sign?PeteW92(USA)LAT/LON:N38* 48.95W078* 46.23Decimal:38.8266666666666778.77305555555556KGAI(USA)LAT/LON:N39* 10.10W077* 09.96Decimal:39.16944444444444463.17666666666667

"S" latitudes and "W" longitudes are negative. So in your examples the latitudes should be positive and the longitudes should be negative. i.e.38.82666666666667-78.77305555555556and39.169444444444444-63.17666666666667
