Ok im sure you all get this often, but if you would please direct me somehwere where i can get started, tutorials, programs, or websites./I want to make my own detailed terrain mesh of my area.I have no clue where to start. I understand I may need to pay to get some imagery to base it off, but other then that I have no clue.Ohh btw my area is Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Im looking at southwest alberta, to south east British Columbia

You will need the MSFS SDK for "Custom Terrain Texture" development. I have a link to the MS SDKs on my "Resources" page. You may find other areas of my website useful as well.GTOPO30 data for Canada is available at no cost. While not extremely detailed, it is usually significantly better than the default mesh. This might be a good place to start. FSTerrain (by Martin Wright) works well with this data, but does seem to limit you to processing only small subsets of the data at a time.Stevewww.fs-traveler.com
