FSDEM and binary RASTER files...

Recommended Posts

Guest Storbult

In FSDEM, when I load a raster image in 16-bit signed integer format, the elevation values grow huge. The image looks OK in terms of relative differences but the elevation shown for the mouse cursor is totally wrong. I now the elevation raster/grid do not exceed 200 m, but somehow during the import FSDEM changes the values into thousands of metres (up to 30000 m!!). Somebody know the problem?

Hello,Try to load the mesh using a different Byte Order (MSB/LSB). It's a parameter from the 'Load Raster File' window. It should fix the problem.Regards,Emerson

Great, thanks. Choosing the least significant bit first did the whole difference. Feel really stupid to have posted this question, but nevertheless, greatful for your intelligence Emerson! :( ;)
