Restoring FS2002?

Recommended Posts

Guest GiZBUG

I just reinstalled windows xp,and still have FS2002 on my E partition. I backed up the following directories to another hd: aircraftGauges Modules Scenery textures Sounds. My question, what Is the easist way to get FS2002 back up and running, and avoid conflicts with my 767pic and other addons? Install it over the directory that is currently on E? Just run FS2002.exe and it will run?Suggestions?

Do a reinstall (not over the backed up folders you mentioned, or they will be over written with the default stuff, so put them in an out of the way folder or partition). After installation, drop those backed up folders into the new installation and all "should" be well.MikeKOCF

That's exactly what I did when I moved my FS2002 to a new, larger H.D.. Good luck.MikeKOCF
