OK I think I hit the alleged 251 aircraft limit....

I now have 306 aircraft in my source file and when I try to run my compiler, Ttools always stops running and gives me an error message saying "aircraft doesn't exist" eventhough the aircraft exists and is properly coded in the source file.:-grr I did some research on the forum here and saw that some people seem to have run into this problem and others haven't, to date the most aircraft I've seen reported that were succesfully compiled by Ttools was 1107(approx) and another person had 400+. I tried the suggested remedies: I deleted the traffic bgl file from the Scenerydb/ATC file, no luck, I went to the command prompt (WIN XP) and typed "Tcompiler" no joy, then I tried changing the directory and typed in the actual path to my TTools file, still no joy. I am running Ttools 1.2. I was going to try the new tool to convert from Ttools to the MS Traffic Database SDK but I saw some some threads saying there were some issues with this app. I am now a at a loss, any help will be much appreciated.

OK after onen final try last night I broke thru the 251 limit. Just FYI for anyone else that might have this issue. I got around it by running the Compiler in Windows 2000 compatibility mode.

I currently have over 300 aircraft available for TTools. I've had that same problem that you eluded to in a previous post. I just deleted that aircraft line and by using 'Aircraft Listing Viewer', I reinserted that same aircraft back into the aircraft text. And all works just fine now.Kev

Hi therewas using TTools v1.2 last week for the first time and got to my 251st aircraft and got the same error. I remembered that soon after i installed fs2002 onto my computer, i experienced a similar problem when trying to load repaints into my B737_400, ie got to Texure31. then it wouldnt save. The solution involved using Wordpad instead of notepad as i understand that notepad has some sort of internal memory limit. I applied this solution to TTools and now have 280 plus planes. I compiled a flightplan using plane #280 and it works ok, so try wordpad. Hope this works for you.Tom
