I made the parallel runways at KSFO (San Francisco Int'l) set for landings on 28R/10L, and takeoffs on 28L/10R.It appeared everything was OK, as I was cleared for landing on 28R as I heard a request for T/o clearance for 28L.While on final, I noticed an aircraft sitting on 28R. I thought, "here we go, I'll get sent around ...".But no, Tower cleared me right on in, and told me to "... take next taxiway ...", etc. After clearing, I slewed around, and there sat a "heavy", just sitting there right in the middle of the runway, and did so for as long as I watched (about 10 minutes, while putting clothes away).Might this be due to not enough gates?But, I thought it would just disappear if this was the case ...
