How to make AI ATC use different runways?

Featured Replies

Hi, another newbie question. Living in Manchester, I (obviously) fly out of Manchester airport in FS2002. However, I was/am a bit disappointed in the fact that I never seem to get instructions for the second runway there. Also at all other airports I always seem to get landing/takeoff clearance for the same runways. Is there a way to get the AI use other runways? If so, what do I need and how do I go about it.Thanks.

Unfortunately, MSFS2K2 do not suport multiple runway operations, only the Longest rwy will be used and the direction of Taking off-Landing will depend upon the direction of the wind. However there is a way to make a "workaround" to this situation, by using a 3rd party freeware add on called "AFCAD", which is mostly used to edit the way the airports are arranged (not the Scenery, but the way the aircrafts use it.)So, my suggestion is, keep on learning the way your and the Artificial inteligence (AI) aircraft goes around the airports, visit this forum and the Traffic Tools forum where you can find useful answers, download AFCAD along with the best AI traffic editor called Traffic Tools form the library, read the manuals and if you feel confortable make the modifications you want.Hope this help.As final note I would like to encourage those experienced gurus that instead of fighting for most of the times "non substatial matters" please answer "newbies" questions, because this is the reason why this forums are about, is a shame that a question that could appear as basic knowledge is not answered and dumped. Please forgive me for my english, its not my native language.
