Multiple identical entries in flightplans.txt???

Recommended Posts

Guest

I have accidentally installed flightplans more than one time in my flightplans.txt. I now have many instances of two or more aircraft that try to occupy the same airspace on approach and landing. How do I search and locate duplicate files in the flightplans.txt and delete the duplicate entries without starting from scratch. Thanks for your help.:-bang fisheye, (webmaster for www.SimFlite.com San Diegos largest flight simulation organization).

Hi Fishy!Try using yRoute (available from www.spacejock.com/ ).Yiu can list almost ay parameter of aircraft/airport etc. etc. wich should enable you to find your duplicates.Peter Leadbeater,Air Pierre, Warrington, UK.

Peter,Thanks for the lead. I was able to use the program yRoute and delete all of the duplicate flights, with some time and help from Simon however. It is nice to have a community of flight sim enthusiasts like yourself to help in times of need. I will pass on this information to Maury Pratt Senior Managing Editor of Avsim, as he is an avid member of SimFlite here in San Diego. I visited Maury the other day and we had lunch and he showed me some of the great reviews that are being made on new addons for FS2002. He will be posting them shortley on the Avsim website.Again, thanks a Bunch,Norm
