Completed an A320 flight from KATL to KCVG. Upon landing I requested taxi to parking. ATC sent me to general aviation parking vs a gate. I looked at the parking availability with AFCAD. It showed plenty of medium gate parking spots. FS showed no a/c in those spots. How do you get ATC to send you to a gate?Richard

Just read another post and I discovered the problem. The downloaded AFCAD file I am using identifies parking spots as "parking" and a number vs "gate" and a number.Initally, I thought it might have been the order the spots were added. I selected the parking list and clicked randomize, but all that showed up was "parking X". No gates.Time to look for a better AFCAD file.Richard

You can edit the parking parameters very easily yourself. Just bring that airport up in AFCAD and select Lists-Parking. You can specify generic "gate" or "parking," or get more specific and add terminal ID to each gate ("E-3") or compass points to parking ("southeast".)
