Mike Stones L-1011, rudder over sensitive, help.

Recommended Posts

I just installed Mike's L-1011 package. The planes are great but I noticed the rudder is way over sensitive. Has anyone come up with a fix for this or is it just me. I use the CH Pro USB peds and all my other planes are just fine. Can some one help me out here to adjust the rudder. ThanksDan

In the aircraft.cfg, in the {Flight_Tuning} section, you can lower the rudder_effectiveness and maybe raise the yaw_stability. 1.000 = 100%, 0.800 = 80%, 1.150 = 115% and so on. Experiment until it feels right.

Thanks for the advice. I tried a few of the settings and it still rocks bad in a slow turn or fast turn. I almost feel like the wings will scrape the ground if I make the turn too sharp. Seems like the gear struts need to be firmed up a little.

Try increasing the roll_stability, too. The gear struts sound like a good idea, but tweaking the contact points for anything other than position is beyond me.
