Multiplayer Flightseeing Trip Around the NY Metro Area

Featured Replies

Here are some screenshots from a Fly II multiplayer "flight-seeing" trip around the NYC area today. We had two Bell 407's, flown by me, and Robert "Helibird", and a Cessna flown by Scott "NYCFlyer." We started at NY's La Guardia airport, and headed West to Manhattan. Scott flew over Central Park, as the two copter pilots made a quick stop at the MetroPort 60th Street heliport. Then, we all flew down the East River. After another landing at the Wall Street heliport, all three aircraft headed for the Statue of Liberty. After circling Liberty Island for some photos, the copters make an approved landing, as Scott flies overhead in the 172. Then, everyone heads North, up the Hudson River, past the Empire State Building. The copter's practice landings on a visiting aircraft carrier and another ship.Next, everyone heads north the Teterboro Airport (TEB) in New Jersey. Scott and Robert race each other around the pattern to see who's faster - a '172 or a '407!Next, a quick flight up to Westchester County Airport (HPN). The last leg of the flight was from HPN to Danbury Airport (DXR) in Connecticut!Although he didn't have Fly II, Gabriel "HB-KUS" kept in touch with us on the "radio" - using Roger Wilco on the AVSIM server! We look forward to another multiplayer adventure with Fly II next weekend. Hope you'll join us!Wayne"SimPilot"

Sounds like an awesome time. I fly online almost daily using Fly! 2k, but I don't spend much time in II. (Mac problems) However, I had never thought of a "sightseeing" trip. Why don't you post on AVSIM the next time you plan a trip, and I'd love to join you. I can't get enough of online flying.Hope to see you in the skies.

Willy,We'd love to have you join us on our next flight! It will probably be next Sunday, and I will post on AVSIM.You should talk to Scott, NYCFlyer. He has a Mac system, and uses it for Fly II.Regards,Wayne

Wayne, let me say great shots again in this forum, just check out my pics in about one minute.....Robert:-rotorEDCJ
