June 7, 200223 yr Showed up at the airport for my flight, conditions were at minimums so my CFI left the choice to me if we should go. Since I like having more than 500 feet to react to anything that might pop out of the clouds decided to stay on the ground, depressing at first but then a light at the end of the tunnel :)There's an airshow at the airport this weekend and the Red Baron Squadron is one of the acts performing there. They have their 4 Stearmans tucked away in one of the FBO's hangars...while we were out there dreuling over the planes one of the pilots showed up, wound up giving us a VIP tour of the planes and maintenance trailer they take with them...even got to sit in the cockpit... :-kewl too Kewl! :-kewl, times like these I wish I'd flown the Stearman in Fly2 some more, coulda been fired up and airborne in no time! :-hahThe maint. trailer was pretty impressive too, they keep a spare engine and prop in it along with eveything they need to change them, strange how that big ole hulkin' radial doesn't look that big when it's on the plane.:-beerchug c ya :-waveBart [email protected]http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/pics/ryans...ight/flight.gif http://bartsflyplace.tripod.com/bart_logo3.jpg
