creating pod response file for tm.2.2

Featured Replies

I am trying to create the pod for NYC ( daves models pack )but it gives me a response: That no information is available?how would i get that to show up in terramodels v2.2 Jeff Akins:-fume

Hi Jeff,I'm not sure that I follow. What are you trying to POD exactly ? You can only re-POD a project using TM, if you have the original project source files. Thanks,Allen

from the file button .: to catalog new pod for terramodel use,so when i go to that mlf file that it will show up on the airport

OK, now I understand. What the cataloging process does, is allow you to place static objects from 3rd party POD files using TerraModels. Biber's fantastic models were the driving factor in adding this new feature. In theory, you should be able to use any POD file containing shared objects. You would probably not want to use objects from other scenery packages, only objects in POD files that were created explicitly for that reason (to be used as static model libraries). Two things about using models from 3rd party POD files in TerraModels.(1) The POD file must exist in SCENERY/SHARED.(2) The MLF file must be named the same as the POD file (i.e BIBER.POD & BIBER.MLF).Hope this helps.Allen

YEAH ALLEN:THAT HELPS A LOT , BUT THE PROBLEM IS THAT I HAVE THE FILES IN THE RIGHT PLACES AND TERRA MODELS DOES NOT RECONQIZE THE POD FILE? IT DOES RECONIZE THE MLF FILE ,BECAUSE IT WILL PLACE THE SCENERY AND IT WILL SHOW UP IN THE SCENERYWHEN I GO TO THAT AIRPORT. ANY SUGGESTIONS JEFF:-doh
