June 23, 200223 yr i am new to fly and while im flying or nearing landing the ATC tells me to Squawk 1200 what does this mean !!!
June 23, 200223 yr This means you have to set 1200 in your transponder. You find the transponder in the radio stack.Johnny"I'LL BE BACK"[div align=center]http://www.avsim.com/hangar/fly/josve/fly2/vas.gif][/div
June 23, 200223 yr It means that you should set your aircraft's transponder code to 1200 and to "xmit"...and on Squawkbox, you should go to the "transponder" menu and select "mode C".1200 is the transponder code for an aircraft flying Visual Flight Rules (VFR). In the ATC within Fly!, there is a loop you can get into sometimes where ATC asks you to set 1200 and then when you do, it terminates radar services then asks you to squawk 1200 again. Not sure why it happens, but when it does, just ignore it and go ahead and land.
