Braking in Fly!II

Featured Replies

All,Since I have been using Fly!II, I've noticed that the brakes have minimal effect. I mainly fly the 757, so I assumed that it was because I was stopping 80 tons, but in recent flights with the ROTW Warrior, I find that I can't do a pre-flight run up because the parking brakes don't have the "grab" required to keep the plane stationary at 2,000 RPMs. (Seems to work fine with the C172.) Now, I'm told by another pilot at AWVA that his brakes work very well on the 757, which leads me to wonder if there's a setting somewhere that I should check to "stiffen" the brakes.Anybody know of anything?

When I use the brake button on my game port based MSFF joystick the brakes do not seem to work. However the B key on the keyboard works fine. I don't have any problem with the parking brakes but I only fly the default A/C.

Dean,Thanks. Over in the PMDG forum, it was suggested that I try to use the joystick button, and that works like a champ for me.
