Bug w/ Terrascene data

Featured Replies

I have Terrascene data for Ashevelle, NC, which was made w/ a 50 mile radius of airport ( KAVL ).The problem is when I start my flight plan from KATL, Atlanta, I am getting data error crashes. Message says "datad18615374EA9A904.raw can't be found. Why is this causing a error when I am at KATL?When I have my Atlanta Terrascene pod loaded ( in the Scenery folder ), I don't get this error, but later in flight I get another error "datad19615474EAB9B54.raw can't be found".When I delete the Asheville pod, I don't get errors.

I have read before that after finishing scenery with TS, you should delete the corresponding data/xxxxxx folder.I may be wrong...

There were no dxxxxx files in the data folder. I delete those after TS. It is referencing the files from the pod.

Just a suggestion, try increasing the load parameters in the SCF by one degree. I've had to do this with quite a few globe tiles.

How do I increase the load parameters? ( i.e. what line, etc. do I change ).

I'm posting a screenshot of an SCF, where I had to increase the load parameters from 1 degree to 2 degrees.

Ah, that didn't work, so I'll try again.

Well, I give up on the screenshot.Open the SCF in notepad. Where it says load lower left, decrease the first entry (north, N) by one in the degree column. Increase the second entry (west, W) by one in the degree column. Then, where it says load upper right, increase the first entry (N) by one in the degree column. Decrease the second entry (W) by one in the degree column.

That was swift. I didn't even bother converting the image to jpeg. Here is the image.

Thanks! I will give it a try.Kline

Well, no crash at KATL. I will fly tonight to KAVL for total test. Thanks again,Kline
