Grand Canyon in Fly2, dressed with Fly2K

Featured Replies

These screenshots are of Terrascene 2.1 scenery for Fly!2, using the Grand Canyon texture set HITW (aka Jak Fearon) provided for Terrascene and Fly!2K. Wouldn't it be nice if Jak could find a way to give us these textures back (and in all their Fly!2 glory).Don

Just a few more.

I like the detail (sharpness of the elevations). My favorite is the last of the first set, which shows the roads along the observation points. L.Adamson

Thanks. I had elevations set to subdivideDensity=8 and subdivideTolerance=40 as compared to the default settings of 4 and 500. Don

Don: Are you going to upload this ? And are you going to make more of this awesome scenery? Jeff Akins AKA; Pilotsim7828:-eek

Yeah I miss those texture packs too. I wish I backed up mine before it got taken away.Ohh Well,Pluto1168(kelvin)

Jeff,I'm afraid it would probably go way beyond what AVSIM would allow with respect to file size, unless I reduce it to a quarter tile. If you have Terrascene you could try David Kohl's "Grand Canyon Creation File" available in the AVSIM library. He's done all the work for you in matching up the textures but they would be Fly! 2 textures, not the HITW textures specific to the Grand Canyon. The one adjustment you might want to make is to change his settings for the elevations, which are the default, to the more detailed settings I mentioned above. And thanks for the nice words.Don

Hello Pluto 1168I've got these specific HITW textures. If I don't infringe any copyrights, I can send it to you on a CD-ROM. Just send your address to [email protected]
