Fly! II Latest Patch Problems with 3rd Party Dev Apps

Featured Replies

Is anyone else having problems with the new patch (V2.50.240) and development add-ons such as Advanced Logbook (V1.1) and Advanced Checklist (V1.5) or is it just me? Logbook will not allow me to open an existing file or start a new one and checklist will not open any checklists. I am unfortunately not a programmer but I suspect it has something to do with the *.dll files.Although I like the add-ons, the new Fly! II is fantastic especially when flying a PMDG 757 at dusk...(lost many flights when the wheels came down and the front wheel was at a 90 degree angle to the plane). Many thanks to R Harvey and all associated for a great flight sim and to AVSIM staff for making it available.Happy holidays to all.Robert

Hi Robert, I am not a programmer either but I have tried everything I can think of to get Advanced Logbook to work. It does bring up the Take off box when I take off & the Landed box all correctly but as you say does not log it. Also as you say when Alt F6 is pushed the logbook comes up but it cannot be opened.

Thanks for the response and confirmation that I didn't install something wrong. Happy flying:-) Robert

When you unzip the files for the PA-28, you'll find a series of EPD files. An EPD is a compressed file similar to a POD. I have the following files for the Piper Warrior:PA28_22.EPDPA28_23.EPDPA28_24.EPDpa28F220_v5.epdpa28F221.epdPut all of these files into the Fly! II/aircraft folder and you should be all set. Welcome to the Fly! community. It may not be as easy to use out of the box, but you'll never find a more supportive flight sim community and with a little effort, the experience in Fly!2 is amazing. Good luck!
