Fly! II Latest Patch and factory.mlf file

Featured Replies

It appears that the datafactory.mlf file, which I backed up before running the new patch per the install instructions, does not have the plane models, ie. "TRILow.acm", "TRIMed.acm", etc. which I added a while ago for some sceneries and/or terramodels. Does anyone know if these need to be added back into the factory.mlf file?

That would depend on if your still using the MLF file that FlyII installed. If so all you need to do is copy and paste from the backed up that you made. Then the items you mentioned will appear. That is if you re-installed the scenery addons that you had installed before you updated to the recent patch. TonyWhy Oh .... Why cant I ????FlyII! ver. 2.40Directx 8.1nVidia drivers 41.09ECS K7S5A SOCKETA /DDR/ATX MB, DDR SRAM 128MB PC-2100 266MHZ MEMORY ,AMD ATHLON T-BIRD 1.2GHZ 256K FSB266 PGA , NVIDIA GEFORCE2 MX-400 64MB AGP

TonyThanks for your response. I know I can add the plane models back into the new factory.mlf which was created by the latest patch, not a problem. However, I did not de-install any scenery files before upgrading so I am unclear as to your meaning about "re-installing the scenery addons". Bottom line is if I have scenery files that utilize the plane models which were added to my previous factory.mlf, then in order to see these again, I need to add them back in.Thanks againRobert

Hmmmm maybe I misunderstood the question. Yes in order to see the aircraft that you spoke of. Then you will need to just add the lines back into the new MLF file. Other than that there is nothing else to do. The models are already in FlyII. The MLF file is just letting FlyII know which models to load for dynamic scenery. Hopefully I explained it better this time. :)TonyWhy Oh ....
