Converted scenery & default scenery

Recommended Posts

Guest Dean

After converting Simflyer's KIAD the default KIAD airport appears along with the converted scenery. I know Alex had posted a procedure several months ago to eliminate this problem but I can't get a hit on the post by doing a search. So, Alex, or anyone else familiar with the process, would you please detail what steps are required to eliminate the default models?

Dean:You have to create a dXXXYYY folder within the data folder for the global tile(s) where the default scenery is located. In this case the folder name would be d200157. Inside that folder, create a file with Notepad and copy the following text: ========== BEGIN SCENERY ========== ========== END SCENERY ==========Save it as Scenerya.s11All the default cities are in the scenerysharedcities.pod file. So, if you want to get rid of all of them at once, either delete it or change the extension of cities.pod file.Hope this helps,Alejandro AmigorenaCheshire, CTFly! Alex,It helps a lot. I ended up extracting the scenery file for d200157, applied the change and poded the file back into the cities pod. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
