New list of Models with links

Boy ... How Nice, You have been busy.Thank you for giving us (1) one place to go to ..Jeff Akins P.s. Please , Please.. Go ahead and update ,Your the first one to do something like this :)

Steve,I noticed you listed Dave Arrowsmith's NYC_vDA.pod.A while back when I redid the New York City area, it turned out to be quite a job to remove all the existing scenery that was there. I found that Dave's NYC pod actually had all the TRI scenery embedded in it, and the default cities.pod had redundancy as well. I was always trying to figure out why the framerates were so terrible. Sometimes, the same model would appear in triplicate! In any case, I touched base with Dave and we agreed to repackage his models without the scenery files into a new pod with additional city models. He wasn't even sure his download still existed! Here's the download. ny_metro_shared_v1.ziphttp://library.avsim.com/sendfile.php?DLID=19834There's also additional city models, some from Vin Scimone and Biber Salsa.I'll create an mlf file for the pod, so that others can access the models for scenery projects.-----------------------Scott CannizzaroPPASEL-KTEB

Many thanks Scot I had no idea about that. I will do an update with this included next time.Is Dave still with us, or has he moved on to other pastures? All The BestSteve[/div] http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.jpg][/divSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Its my pleasure, Im just using an idea Alejandro Amigorena gave to me about adding the links to my scenery on my Liverpool Airport post. I forgot about ROTW,s wonderful statics as well...Im kicking myself over that. I will update in a week or so.All The BestSteve[/div] http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.jpg][/divSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Hi Steve,Have been missing a separate category for 3D models for a long time. Thanks for making that list ;)

Hi Scott,You are mentioning something very important. Too many people fall into the trap having all the already podded models in Fly2Shared in their scenery pod, and that is a killer!Solution is simple: Always check the response file before podding. Here`s a link to my tips:http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID19BTW: I`d love to fly in the full New York package, but I got thrown out several times with the "Too many vertices" message. I didn`t check out what the problem might be...

Its my pleasure :-) Some of us can only give back in small ways, mine is this and scenery and the odd repaint when my head is up to it *:-* All The BestSteve[/div] http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.jpg][/divSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther files *:-* http://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Yes, I think he said he was working with some driving sim development.-----------------------Scott CannizzaroPPASEL-KTEB

You shouldn't be having any problems with the NY scenery, are you using the latest versions?-----------------------Scott CannizzaroPPASEL-KTEB
