Weather settings

Featured Replies

Hi everyone !Is there a possibility to download weather settings like METAR for other regions than North America (I mean Europe)? Is there any possibility to obtain randomized weather settings for Fly! II ?

Look for Infometar in the Avsim library.tony

Note that InfoMETAR is listed in the Fly! (1.0) Misc category, but it nonetheless works fine for Fly II as well. As Tony suggests, it can download worldwide real weather data from NOAA (although NOAA's coverage in some areas is a little sparse at times), and can also generate random weather. If you decide to give InfoMETAR a try, there are a few specific recommendations for using it to the greatest advantage with Fly II given in the following thread:http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...m=DCForumID14#6There has been one correction to this FAQ information which hasn't yet made it into the above thread (Ken?): specifically, whenever the final Fly II patch is being used, I now recommend setting "minimum miles between stations" to its minimum setting of 0 miles when using the Thinning functionality of InfoMETAR.Whether you decide to try my program or not, best wishes and happy flying!

http://www.usinternet.com/users/mystic/infomsig.gifGodspeed to our friend, Richard Harvey.

Thanks very much. I am going to try it for sure.
