Having trouble: Anyone know how to add dynamic scenery?

Featured Replies

I read the tutorial on how to add dynamic scenery. I am having a major problem. Every time I am done plotting my object's path (say a stock 747, or one of the biberall model planes, or one of the avro planes), I click to save the .pth. It seems to save it. Then I go to open the plot recorder window.......... and ABSOLUTELY NOTHING seems to happen. I can't go any further. There is no window to import the .pth, no window to play it back, etc - just ........ nothing. I can't seem to get the Path Recorder window to do anything for me. Anyone have any ideas? Also, is it possible to use the biberall models in my plottings? Thanks for the help on a sad day for all of us.Chris [email protected]

Hi Chris,Download the dynamic vehicles for this job, at: http://ftp.avsim.com/library/sendfile.php?DLID=21626 and use this to move around. Also at times, if the airport is at the edge of a global tile it will not work. I tried for ages to put dynamic vehicles in Liverpool airport, but scarey things started to happen SteveSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Thanks. I already have this file believe it or not. So you mean that only CERTAIN models can be used for dynamic models - not, for example, the Bieberall models (which is what I really want to use)? Thanks,Chris

Chris:At the time I wrote the Tutorial there were only two dynamic models ( Fuel and Fire trucks ) then started to play with some models and released the Dynamic B727 Northwest, then somebody did a great contribution by adding a lot of new dynamic models.. all packed on a single download. As far as I know, you can't use Biber's models for Dynamic Scenery.. yet, unless these have been included on that single download I mentioned, I don't remember. The files are available at the AVSIM File Library, link is on the message above.Try adding a "standard" Dynamic Model, see if it works, maybe your problem is with the model you are trying to place.

Thats right Chris, sorry I didnt make myself clear, what you could do and its a cheats way to get moving vehicles in your airport, is download a few of waynes airports.Take one of the aircraft files you want or the fuel truck.Change the coordinates of Waynes airport and paths to yours.Plot the path with your fly2 editor writing everything down on paper. Moving the curser over the areas you want your vehicle to move, stop, pause. So if it was the fuel truck, adapt the file in the data folder and the path folder to your airport1 coordinates2 the path the truck needs to take3 the elevation This is a very basic way described I know, but Its yealded great results for me in the past.I have started to do a wordpad document on how to do this but I have other things to finish first.Steve http://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.JPGSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

Hi Steve, so you have been cheating. Chris is a teacher and he should find that comment very interesting.I have been working on a tutorial on how I place the dynamic vehicles and as soon as I find someone who will test it I will upload to AVSIM.Hang in there, my friend, help is coming.
