I downloaded it (I'd never seen this before). It was nice that they had a splash screen dedicated to Rich at the beginning, but I thought they might give some coverage to Fly in the show. However it seemed to be entirely FS2K2 stuff :-/. Would have been nice to see them review some of the nice planes for Fly such as the Socata.I think Fly's planes are head and shoulders above the FS2K2 ones, but that FS2K2 sure does have nice airport sceneries available for it!John/madmax

I dont download it evertime, but yes it is as you say. If they say its dedicated to someone, you might think they would show their accomplishments. Rich did so much for the flight simulator world, Im sure if it wasnt for world events (9/11) and FlyII being pushed into the shops too early, he and his gang would have been a massive threat to microsoft.Im really hoping now that some of the other guys in his team will continue to help and guide us.And,Its nice to see those of you who helped in the beta testing of the best computer program I have ever had.Stevehttp://mysite.freeserve.com/fly2theuk/aragon.JPGSceneryhttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2tms&Go=SearchRepaintshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...y2Air&Go=SearchOther fileshttp://ftp.avsim.com/library/search.php?Se...2Misc&Go=Search

I agree that the premature release of Fly hurt it badly. It got a lot of negative press on usenet when it came out, and even to this day, it is a difficult program to deal with. Most people won't want to make that effort, and I believe most people don't even want a realistic "simulator" per se - they are happier with a more game-oriented approach to the hobbyIt's sad to see such a promising program as Fly, which the developers obviously poured their hearts into, not reach the sort of success it deserves. Even if someone prefers MSFS, the competition provided by Fly and FU1/2/3 was healthy for the whole market. But now, most of the competitors to MSFS are disappearing (as actively developed commercial entities). I think the current state of things is very sad for the hobby as a whole.
