Time factor in FSMaintenance

Featured Replies

In my opinion a major miss in FSMaintenance - an excellent add-on by the way - is its inability to take sticking to a set time schedule into account. As any pilot will tell you, whether he be private recreational or airline captain, time awareness is crucial to the success of the flight. It should be a simple matter to add another parameter to the blackbox settings enabling schduled departure (takeoff) and arrival (landing) times.Failure to meet these times (say 10 minutes off departure and 15 minutes off arrival) should be penalised on a sliding scale.Any other opinions?Mathijs?Airdog

Just because I'm partial, I like 20 early, 14 late. 'Tis the way AMC does it.Joe

Nah, anything within an hour of scheduled arrival and departure is within limits (or 3 hours on a longhaul flight) when flying KLM :-lol

I think Lago is one of the.. No.. THE most trustworthy payware company for FS add ons :) I like FSMaintenance but there is one thing that is missing, though no one else seems to think it's an issue :( :-A 737-200 and an A320-200 are both in the same group and therefore have the same maintenance costs. Im not an engineer but I know that a 732 will cost a lot more to maintain than an A320! An age related factor should be introduced
