May 25, 200224 yr I have a Garmin GPS III Plus. Can I connect this to my PC and have all data of my flight (position, speed, altitude etc.) exported to my GPS, so I can see my plane moving on the display? I got the idea from Pete Dowson
May 31, 200224 yr The problem is you're trying to connect, in essence, two GPS devices to each other. The plane "knows" where it is and can report this as GPS to another device (hence, Peter's application which hooks into another computer and treats the host 2K computer as a GPS device). Your Garmin unit can't take input from another GPS device, AFAIK (if it could there would have to be a way to turn off the GPS in the Garmin, otherwise it couldn't handle conflicting info where the Garmin GPS says Nevada but your PC reports you flying over Spain). But thanks for the idea about Peter's stuff -- I think I'll hook my laptop up this weekend and have a moving map in Topo USA!
