Hello Fellow PilotsI am just chatting away here...But I am looking for ideas from those that have walked the paths or know of others who have told the stories they have walked...I currently have fs9, ActiveSky2004.5, AlertPro, Ultimate Traffic2004, American Data Roads Rails Streams, and Some FS Genesis Mesh...As far as what I need to upgrade to next kinda at a loss... I want to get her as real as I can... Been thinking about Radar Contact it is just beta for fs2004 at this time I think, and I have got my eyes on FS Passengers.Would anyone have any Ideas or suggestions for me? Thanks

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!You might want to put this in the Microsoft Flight Sim General Discussion forum. But as long as you are here I highly suggest FLY 2 with the addon by ROTW at http://www.simvol.org. Fly 2 is available from Take Two Interactive. When combined with the addon DVD it currently puts a load on systems due to a lot of things called "DLL's" but George Heliflier is soon to release a switching utility that only runs the ones your sim is calling for at any given time. Till then I have renamed certain ones .notused as per his instructions and it is doing well on a Pentium 3 550 MGZ. FLY 2 is an older sim but it is the only one I know of that can present the cockpit of an plane with every guage, switch and lever where it actually appears in the real world aircraft. Squawkbox is working on a version for FLY 2 that includes real weather with updates. Even without it people have had success flying with Vatsim etc... There is no 3D cockpit but you can scroll and pan around to the throttle quadrant, overhead and even APU panel presented sharply and clearly. Works great with a properly remapped 8-way hat switch with the advantage of being able to "snap back" to a forward "home cockpit" view with the push of a button. PMGD made planes for FLY 2 before Microsoft, I recently purchased the 777-200 IGW from shareware.com. Still crunching the 240 page manual. I have tried FS9 but prefer FLY 2. Couldn't get used to 3d cockpit, sure it's nice in the pattern but still. Aircraft components as "popups" don't do it for me either. An addon I recomend is errorguard at errorguard.com. You get a free scan of entire system for errors, to make repairs you register it for a one-time fee of $29.95. So far it has improved my performance and lessened CTD problems. No harm done by it that I know of though the size of the backup files can be quite large.Best Regards, Donny:-wave
