VFR in Class A Airspace not allowed?

Recommended Posts

Guest Bart

Howdy all,Saw the post on the front page of the newest Sky Words post and I disagree that VFR in class A is not allowed. Look at the following article...http://www.avweb.com/news/system/182429-1.htmlThis was one of those "pop quiz" questions my CFI laid on me the other day while we were waiting for our time to leave the holding pattern from LUK missed approach. I have to check the FAR/AIM when I get home but there is another FAR directed specifically for VFR flight in Class A being allowed with prior notification/approval that does not pertain to comm failure. If I remember right it was an amendment added that allows non passenger carrying flights to be conducted in Class A under VFR.c ya :-waveBart flyhelp@zoomtown.com
