Help with rudder pedals

Featured Replies

I have a very strange set up and need a mac guru to help!I have been using a logitech wingman extreme stick with great results on fly2k. It is originally a gameport model but came with a simple gameport to usb adapter that allows input sprockets to see it and work flawlessly. I now bought a CH pro rudder pedal set which is also game port. The wingman now plugs into the gameport plug on the rudder pedals and the output of the new combined system (which is gameport) goes to the gameport-to-usb adapter and then to the mac. Fly still just sees the wingman and does not recognize the rudders at all. Any ideas?? Thanks!Ben

Without knowing the specifics of the adapter that came with your joystick, I would say that it was tailored to that particular joystick and simply can not translate the gameport signal from the pedals into a usb data stream. Please bear in mind that usb ports are digital, and thus do not carry analogue data like a gameport or the Mac serial port or ADB ports.I would recommend using a device such as the Radio Shack Gameport to USB adapter for your rudder pedals, and using the USB adapter for only the joystick for which it was intended.Regards,---John R.
