Fly 2 performance settings

I remeber when I used the first incarnation of this program Fly!After much tweeking I was able to get great frame rates and really enjoyed it.I can't seem to get fly working very well in 10.2 so I want to play it in 9.2.2.I was flying around last night and was happy with the performance. I was getting 64/3-5 for a good deal of it.Every once in a while it would bog down and and give me 64/16. This seemed to be for no apparent reason. I seem to remember this in the original. The old 5fps issue!! Is this the case in Fly 2? If so, are there any settings that I can make to increase the frame rate?Thanks very much?I also dowloaded the demo of x-plane. I wish I could get that type of performance in Fly 2 or something close.
