Roger Wilco with Squackbox

Featured Replies

Can someone explain to me how to use Roger Wilco with Squackbox.I start Squackbox and enter the voice frequency ".rw___________", press F12 and nothing happens.Keep FLYing

Eagle,Presumably, you've gotten the RW info from ATC's ATIS, and you've started RW before going into Fly!II. (You can ALT-TAB to the desktop to start RW after Fly!II if you want, but I find it's easier to start RW first.)Let's say that you're flying into KLAX. ATIS says the controller's up on voice on 26.34.84.138/128.50. You'd type ".rw 26.34.84.138/128.50" and hit enter. SB will respond telling you it's switching, and then you can hit your press-to-talk key. (I'd advise listening for a few seconds first to make sure no one's in the middle of a conversation...just regular r/t courtesy.)A url will also work. For example, if ATIS says the controller is up on vatsim.org/128.50, you'd type ".rw vatsim.org/128.50" and SB will find the correct IP automatically, then tune RW for you.Hope that helps!

Thanks Kurt - my problem is I had not started rw before starting FLY. I though rw would start by typing .rw, again I was wrong. Only the second time in my life!Keep FLYing
