On changing the left and right internal views

Featured Replies

Well, I'm just putting the final touches on my TBM repaint before I upload it to AVSIM, and can't get past one problem. I need to change the internal view when looking left and right (east and west) from the cockpit. My wings have some different paint than the original and you need to see my wings from the inside. So far, I've created the PBM files from the internal views and modified the following panel files to point to the new PBMs:* TBM_MAIN.PNL* TBM_VUEE.PNL* TBM_VUEW.PNLThe problem is that when looking out the left or right of my repainted TBM, I still see the original, blank white wings. I know its looking for my PBM files because when I remove them from my art directory, Fly! II crashes saying it can't find those files. Also, I've modified the front panel and that looks fine. Here is what it should look like:http://home.earthlink.net/~finsdad/FlyII/p...M685BN_VUEW.jpgHere is what it looks like now:http://home.earthlink.net/~finsdad/FlyII/p...TBM700_VUEW.jpgAny help would be greatly appreciated because this is the last step before I'm able to share the repaint with everyone here.http://home.earthlink.net/~finsdad/FlyII/p...s/avsim_sig.jpgDan

Hello Dan.Looks like a nice repaint.Have you renamed the panel files in the Pitfile also,so FlyII knows what files to use where? They need to be thesame.Have a nice day.Jan

I have renamed the files in the pit file. Thanks for the suggestion. The strange thing is when I remove my files from the art directory, FlyII complains and crashes when it can't find the file. Isn't it strange that my image is required but then isn't used? Its really bugging me because I want to fix this last thing and share the repaint with others. Any other suggestions?http://home.earthlink.net/~finsdad/FlyII/p...s/avsim_sig.jpgDan

Strange. When I have modified the Bell views, and have forgotten renaming somewhere in the line, it either crashes or I can see out theview, but no image of the panel. But in your case you see the originalbitmap,so I still belive it's a rename problem. The two PBM's need tobe renamed together with the names in the Pit file, and the Pit fileitselfe, and the Nfo file that tells Fly what world files to use.Andalso the panel file in the Data folder, and the reference to the Pbmiside the Panel file.Hope you understand my english :) and that I remebered everything.Just ask again,or send an e-mail.Jan
