Black Textures On Boeing 767-300 gMax

Featured Replies

Recently I downloaded several Boeing 767-300 gMax files. But there had been only black bitmaps in their texture folders, so the whole mashines were black. What could be the reason for this or how can I solve this problem?

What card do you have? Some older cards such as the Voodoo can't handle 1024*1024 textures and that may be the problem you have. If the textures have mip maps (lower resolution versions of the textures included) then it will still work - but if not you'll get a black plane. If this is the case you could use Imagetool to add mip maps. If the textures already have mip maps you could use Imagetool and a paint program such as PSP to reduce the resolutions to 512*512. Best regards, Chris
