Day and Night Models

Recommended Posts

Here is how I make day and night models out of Vins and Haralds models!First I start off with the original tiff file and the new textures Im using. http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72061.jpg With Photoshop I make the day texture and then out of the day texture I make a night texture. Note how I have renamed each tiff file.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72063.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72064.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72065.jpgI change/rename the original xxxx.smf file. Then copy it change/rename it to xxxxn.smfSo now you have 2 new .smf files in your models folder and 2 new .tiff files in your art folder. Remember to open the .smf files and change the .tiff names to there new names you gave them.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72066.jpgNow add a new line to your factory .mlf file in the Data folder, like this: shak1.smf,"houses",CGhlNstu,Steves ModelsNo need to add shak1n.smf,"houses",CGhlNstu,Steves Models to the factory .mlf as Fly does this for you. Now open up the Fly editor and add your model. Hit T key a few times to see your model change from day to night texture. Have fun and please give credit to there creators.Stevehttp://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg My Websitehttp://www.wrexhamspace.orghttp://www.cafeshops.com/wrexhamspace

You have the eyes of a Hawk my friend ;-) Im like you now, Im using my laptop only for the internet and my main computer is just for Fly2. I was truly fed up with rubbish downloaded on my computer. The amount of spyware is getting worse. With all the trash it was grinding the computer to a standstill. Now its great for fly2 and nothing to ruin it.If you want me to put a few tutorials together for your website I will do, if it be with models or Photoshop.PS. Thanks for the emails you sent to me rescently, you are a good friend Jeff!Steve.http://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg My Websitehttp://www.wrexhamspace.orghttp://www.cafeshops.com/wrexhamspace

Is there a way that one can put a shadow behind them, As to make them look as they are standing away from an objectKind of like a 3d object.Just a thoughtKeep up the great workAnd you`re welcome for those e mails, I was almost stuck in my tracks at one point my selfJeff http://www.f2fdesign.com/ http://www.flyiideveloper.com/ http://jaakins.web.aplus.net/images/Image1.jpg

Hi Jeff, :-) Shadows are no problem in photoshop. You duplicate the picture or layer, in this case Cerys (keris) and I. You then fill the new picture with black. The subjects only!!! Move the layer down and add gausian blur to it. Now you can adjust the new shadow with the free transform tool.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/72145.jpg Have fun ;-) Steve & Cerys Brown (Age 4)http://mysite.freeserve.com/ysomdesign/banner.jpg My Websitehttp://www.wrexhamspace.orghttp://www.cafeshops.com/wrexhamspace
