June 2, 200224 yr Okay, I must have missed something.I just downloaded Taburet's sfcru.zip software that was listed as SHAREware. When I tried to install it, I needed to enter a registration number, which I couldn't get unless I paid the shareware fee.Did I miss something?Shareware implies to me that the software is "shared" (duh) and if you like it, you pay the fee to register it. At that point, you either feel good about paying for the author's efforts or, in some cases, you receive some additional benefit (or both). But the overall concept, as I understand it, is that you try it and if you like it, you buy it.With this download, it appears that I must pay before I can even see if I want it. To me, this is PAYware, not SHAREware. This may, however, fit the pattern of a shareware/payware group that calls itself the "FSfreeware Team".This seems like another attempt to take advantage of AVSIM in marketing software without paying any kind of fee or commission to AVSIM for using it's server. If I am mistaken (not at all impossible), could someone explain how to install this recent download and try it before I buy it?Thanks,Wilson
