December 7, 200223 yr Still no success. BTW, is it just me, or are there a lot of msg's missing here ? I'd like to reference my original post for everyone's suggestions, but it, along with several other folks' posts, seem to be missing.Question : I have the CD in its drive while starting FU. I'm assuming you need it there, because not everything was copied to the HD. Is this correct, for not everything to have been copied ? This is normal for many applications, but thought I'd ask, since I'm running out of ideas. 1) I've tried the patch. It seems like it simply changes the FLIGHT.BAT file. The FLIGHT.exe now in the genpile folder is the same as what is on the CD. 1/30/96 1:47 PM, 1,660KB. No difference.2) I tried FLIGHT +nounivbe. No difference.3) I found the very large thread mentioned, and tried what I could. No difference. I'll read it again, if it's still here. There was something mentioned about not all files being copied, which is why I asked my question above. Here are my AUTOEXEC.BAT & CONFIG/SYS files :*********************************************************AUTOEXEC.BAT*********************************************************Device=C:WINDOWSHimem.Sys /TESTMEM:OFFDeviceHigh=C:WINDOWSEMM386.Exe RAM h=255 d=64Stacks=0,0REM Load DOS into high memory.DOS=HIGH,UMBREM Load the CD-ROM device driver.DEVICEHIGH=C:CDROMACERCD.SYS /D:IDECD000*********************************************************CONFIG.SYS*********************************************************@ECHO OFFSET PATH=C:WINDOWS;C:WINDOWSCOMMAND;C:MOUSE;C:VIBRA16DRVREM Load the CD-ROM extentions.LOADHIGH C:WINDOWSCOMMANDMSCDEX.EXE /S /M:12 /D:IDECD000 /L:IREM Load a disk cache.C:WINDOWSSMARTDRV.EXE A C D E F ILoadHigh C:MOUSEMOUSESET PROMPT=$p$gSET winbootdir=C:WINDOWSSET BLASTER=A220 I5 D1 H7 P330 T6SET SOUND=C:VIBRA16C:VIBRA16DIAGNOSE /SC:VIBRA16MIXERSET /P /QREM *** D:MACH64M64VBE S ACC * Need for MSFS DOS 5.1 *E:CD FLIGHTUFLIGHT +nounivbeREMREM The following lines have been created by Windows. December 7, 200223 yr Hi Dave,As a last resort, I can think of two possibilities.1) I can send you a CD with my current "Flight" directory. I have worked hard to make it work with my current (recent) hardware, but I don't remember now exactly what I did. I once sent such a disc to another user who had problems, and this worked for him.2) You can download from the internet the Win95 version of FU1. It's available as "abandonware" for free. I don't remember the site, but if you're intrested I can search for it... It solves most of the compatibility problems, as it relies on DirectX.Email me if you wish at macavity80 (at) softhome.netCristian
