December 10, 200223 yr Let's hope it continues for a while now and comes back on a regular basis :-)(are you having another big auto race to make it rain ? :-))
December 10, 200223 yr Hi Jon,hopefully now everything gets better and you have stable rain periods around there in australia.Be happy you didn
December 11, 200223 yr Thanks, Ansgar!Yep, we got nearly two days' good rain on the coast but very little out west (not that one would expect much this time of year). The sun's out now (5:30PM, 11th Dec.) but it's still ~20 degrees so most of the water will stay where it is for a few days hopefully. You are correct about too much rain - in these conditions about 2 days is good, 4 days is a flood! This is normal for Oz though - 4 years of drought followed by 6 weeks of rain... Mud avalanches aren't THAT much of a worry here though, mostly just a lot of boggy ground which takes weeks to dry out. When I was young, we had three paddocks on the farm that you didn't go near between February and April - black soil :-(Jon Point*************************([email protected])*************************
