Glider panel preview

Featured Replies

Just a little sneak peek at one of my current projects. I've been working with Glidernut to arrive at a reasonable set of glider panels for the upcoming un-powered gliders (let the whole darn litter out of the bag there, eh?). This is my first try with the Blanik L-13. In keeping with John's suggestions, I've tried to keep it as open as possible.A little jaunt near Mt. Rainierhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21966.jpgAfter diving down a few thousand... ;)http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21967.jpgAnd again at dusk!http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21968.jpghttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/21969.jpgI hope you like the shots. I'll post some more when I get the 3D model fully textured. There is also an ASW in the pipeline, BTW. The gliders will have a total of 32 textures each (!) - 8 for the cockpit, 24 for the rest. Like the panels, you'll be able to see your fingerprints in them (almost).PS If you're wondering where it is, the com radio is on a popup panel ;):-waveJon Point*************************([email protected])*************************

WOOOOOW Jon, that looks really fantastic! :DI

Another winner! They seem to come frequently these days :-) I'm curious about testing a "pure" glider. It will be harder to get airborne unless we "miracle" it up to a suitable start position. Well, Glidernut will just slide it backwards down a hill to get started :-lol Hans Petter

Hans Petter,Yes, you can page-up or... use the winch :-eekThat's right, folks. Line her up at the end of a suitable (glider) runway, release the brake, signal the winchy and a few seconds later, you're airborne. At least to about 2000ft, anyway ;)It's a bit rough right now but I'm getting there. Like the Dash-8, there may be a few 'rules' to follow for a realistic effect but it'll be worth it - I hope!Of course, a winch will be included in the uploads...And couple of glider strips :-beerchug:-waveJon Point*************************([email protected])*************************

Hi Jon,Comme toujours, superbe !Je laisse cela en fran

Jon,A winch launch glider would be great! Please mail me as soon as you have this ready....I have actually done a few winch launches ....feels like you are a supersonic kite...70 Knots straight up - troo it's not saturn 5 but hey thats a big fuel headache! The stemme is good but you always have that get out of jail free engine! I think you need to disable the page up somehow for this glider! Then people would have to learn how to glide!!!I really wanna see this!!!UK Rob

What, can you turn the glider engine off?Just joking. But I do use my "get out of jail free" card quite a bit ...RobD.
