July 15, 200322 yr I was lucky enough to be able to visit the Air and Space Museum in Washington at the weekend. If you ever get the chance then it's a must. Its full of the whole history of aviation and there's models and exhibits galore. July 15, 200322 yr I have been there a bunch of times but they never had a Goose. I may have to stop by when I'm up there next month. If I can talk my wife into it anyway... we was just there last August. :-lol
July 16, 200322 yr Hi,Some nice shots there. Looks like a 2 stage centrifugal compressor. Would've been neat to see the turbine. 1st time seeing it's innards. The F15 and F16 jfs I've had a look though. Cool stuff.Jim B.
July 16, 200322 yr Looks more like a R-R Dart engine with all those rods and levers,cannular combustion chambers, and the prominent 'mixing box'(engine tweekers' nightmare to set up!)at bottom right....:-wavePete
