January 4, 200422 yr Hi Allan,Iv got FS2002, and it dont seem to work with that.Well I carnt get it to work anyway, I carnt fined the ""Add Scenery" function to activate the scenery? as per instructions. But I hav managed to land and take off agen by roling down hill into wind in FS2002 atthat yery small place that is suposed to hav slope lift? Well its Mirrosoft that calls it "slope lift", not me, it has as mich lift on the douwndraft side of the slope as it dus on the up wind side. Not realistik at all.In fact, I fined gliding in "Micro Flight" mor realistik and fun than "FS2002".Even thow "Micro Flight" has in genaral les deatale or qualaty. At leest "Micro Flight" has good slope lift modeling. As to thermal soring, this has alwys been a seconed rate form of lift!Thermal soring is for second or thered rate gliding clubs that are situated on flat land whear the only form of lift thay can hope for is thermals. Its a pity, but we carnt all liv within driving distance of mouwntins.Slope lift and wave lift "is and always will be" the best form of lift! All the best gliding clubs are situated on hils or mountins. This is where all the first clas soring is dun.To be gliding in mountins without Slope lift and wave lift is like siting in a pubthat dont sel beer.glidernut.:-wave
January 4, 200422 yr John.I'd hate to spend much time in a pub that don't sell beer :-lolIn your FS2K2 game click on Settings, then Scenery Library.Like thishttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/56273.jpgWhen you get there click on the add area buttonhttp://forums.avsim.com/user_files/56274.jpgThen look for where you placed that scenery and click on the folder,http://forums.avsim.com/user_files/56276.jpgactivate it and then restart your FS game.Simple as that. FS has no package limits that I have found yet. There's some fantastic scenery and some fantastic planes. It's a real hoot. You can store your add on packages almost any where and your puter will find them. But I know you need this slope lift for your kind of flying.I prefer a spinning prop on the front or rear of my planeHave a good year Have Fun :-newburnAllan and Puppyhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif
