OT - Ranger Creek glider shots

Featured Replies

Dear All,To those wanting yet another view of Ranger, have a look at these:I know they're small but they give a great idea of the place - from the ground this time ;)http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74578.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/74579.jpgIf gliding's your thing, read this interesting article on wave soaring around Mt Rainier by Vitek Siroky (Blanik America President and very helpful chap - we wouldn't have the Blanik L-13 in such fine form if not for him). The shots above are from the article:http://www.nwinternet.com/~blanikam/css/wave.htmRegards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"

Latest news is Ranger, Easton, Skykomish and Bandera have all opened early, due to an early snowmelt. So now, you can remove your winter palettes and let the grass grow! This is especially good because Ranger nearly closed for ever last Fall...Fortunately, the WPA (Washington Pilots Association) successfully campaigned to keep these strips open AND 'State', allowing everyone to equally enjoy using them. Without them, FU3 might've been the only way to fly there as Ranger was definitely earmarked for closure. Oh, there is another sim that does it too - what was it? :-lolFor info & happenings, search the web for 'WPA'.:-waveRegards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
