Still very much a work in progress, just a few new scenery models and a basic airport structure. New technique of higher resolution in key areas has worked well but is very time consuming as each point has to be defined rather than four corner points, so it will look a bit more like an MSFS airport with sharp corners in taxiways, but the improvement in resolution is worth it - sharp taxiway lines, realistic tarmac, grass etc. The main new model is the terminal (of course), which seems to be the oddest combination of old brick with added prefab at front. And of course, I've put a few spitfires/hurricanes around (thanks agtim).http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/109109.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/109110.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/109111.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/109112.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/109113.jpgI've since replaced the dark mossy tarmac at the front with a more accurate lighter tarmac, saving the old material for odd parking spots.Congrats to Jon on your new release of models! I use your tanks and earlier buildings a lot, not to mention your tree and tree roads (some of which you can see in the BH shots above).RobD.

Gee, thanks Rob ;)Yep, the old Brits were never shy of mix 'n' match in the architectural department! There's more WW2 aircraft there than there was during the war :-lolMy current 'addiction' is making lo-res models of my more complex things as I've concluded they really do help framerates. When Chris populated Sanfran and Seattle with pylons, I noticed a definite slowing-down, so I did some lower-res versions (as twr11.bin etc) and it took the stutters out entirely! Now, with my new-found power I can get 25fps+ in full res with everything maxxed - what a joy ;)BTW, the new model sets are equally at home in UKS (except maybe for a couple of specific landmarks), so you can have all the pylons, TV towers, AM towers, water tanks and marinas(!) you need! And no, I haven't forgotten about the cars and trucks I owe the region :-rollI am just putting a few finishing touches on things prior to release :-wave:-waveRegards,**************Jonathan Point**************"I'd rather be down here wishing I was up there than up there wishing I was down here"
