Here's a list of some relatively active sites (accessible, at least) I've found that have information related to Flight Unlimited, in addition to the Weather and Gideon Pertzov repaint sites mentioned by Pete in another thread today -Gideon Pertzov's Utilities for FU3 -http://www.gpdev.net/Projects_fu3.htmlThe Flight Unlimited Airport - http://www.flight-unlimited.8m.com/Markus Brunner's FU3 & FLED Page - http://www.geocities.com/in_04/Flying the World (primarily soaring, but with some content devoted to FU3) -http://hjem.get2net.dk/helmuth/Agtim's FU3 High Resolution Terrain Processing Workshop - http://www.agtim.ch/fu3/LLFly's Flight Unlimited Pages -http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/Hangar/8203/Daniel's Unlimited Design site -http://hem.bredband.net/b150636/Frank's Hangar -http://www.flightsimsetc.dhs.org/Artisan Developers Trainer Echo Golf -http://www.artisandevelopers.com/web/fu3/software/trainer/Pier Glass Aviation vrtual airline -http://www.pierglass.com/Flight Unlimited II -http://www.tp1.physik.uni-erlangen.de/~vitzethum/fu2/Gideon Pertzov's main Flight Unlimited R&D Page -http://www.geocities.com/alive.geo/flight3.html(To complete my list, the two mentioned by Pete)Gideon Pertzov's Flight Unlimted R&D Page - Repaintshttp://www.geocities.com/alive.geo/rvgallery.htmlLaurie Doering's Weather Site For FU3 -http://www.geocities.com/lcdoering/Photos.htmlPerhaps, with that addition of the two sites mentioned by Pete and contributions from others more knowledgable, this might form another basic resource database for new users?-Seadog

Some notes on scenery compatilility from Seadog...FU3 Avsim Library Scenery Files Compatibility Q & AAndre Meystre ("agtim") and Rob Driscoll recently combined efforts to produce a Basic and an Advanced Library Listing for FU3 files in the Avsim Library. In the Advanced Listing, Rob inserted an explanatory note concerning scenery compatibility which raised a few additional questions. Rob has been kind enough to expand on the subject in this Q & A format.Work is proceeding energetically on a UK South scenery package, but this is a work in progress and is not yet complete. That means the current Avsim scenery files are related only to the two original scenery areas of FU2 and FU3, San Francisco and Seattle. These comments concern only the sections of the two library file listings headed, "Scenery Packages." The basic listing contains seven such files, while the advanced listing contains many more, divided into six sub-section categories. In the advanced file listing, those categories are:MegaSceneriesRegion:SanFran (followed by Rob's note about compatibility)Region:Seattle Bush StripsRegion:Seattle IndependentRegion:SanFran+SeattleRegion:Outer Rob's note about compatibility states: Note: Historically there are three sets of sceneries for the Seattle Region, (1) independent packages (often earliest), (2) bush flying series, (3) Chris Low's megascenery. These 3 sets are not compatible with each other. A selection from the independent packages and the Bush Flying Series is given below. This raised several more questions which Rob has answered below.1. Does your explanatory note about incompatibility apply to the full remainder of the Scenery Packages section in the Advanced Listing or just to the two following sub-sections?A: Only to the next two subsections (Seattle Bush Flying and Independents!). In other words, neither the Seattle Bush Flying or the Independent package sets are compatible with Chris Low
