Hi Tom.Looks like you had a fun time, I enjoy fast cars also. It was lots of fun to drive my Mark8, maybe not quite as fast as the new Vette on the top end and for sure not as fast from 0-60 but it was a nice ride and was supposed to do 160mph.+ from the factory, I've had it in the 145-150 range a few times but it was the best around 90.30-31 miles per gallon with cruise set on 90 :-lolWhat's the matter with Black? Tom. I'm sitting beside Lake Tetonhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118181.jpgOf course I like green also, the green one isn't near as fast as the black one, but it'll pull a lot more :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118183.jpgThe fastest street legal car I've ever had the chance to drive was a 2005 ford GT40 Wow!!http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118184.jpgI used to play hard back in the late 60's early 70's HP days but I never had something set up like this, 550HP Supercharged,intercooled,4cams, 32 valves (well my Mark had 4 cams and 32 valves) but it wouldn't do 0-60 in 3.3 secs :-lolIt's hard to believe how hard this GT would set you back in the seat.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118185.jpgHave Fun :-vuurAllan BFU Job Manager and Co-Moderatorand PuppyBush Flying Unlimitedhttp://avsim.com/hangar/air/bfu/logo70.gif

Hi Allan,"It was lots of fun to drive my Mark8, maybe not quite as fast as the new Vette on the top end and for sure not as fast from 0-60 but it was a nice ride and was supposed to do 160mph.+ from the factory, I've had it in the 145-150 range a few times but it was the best around 90."http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118443.jpgI had my old RX-7 up to around 110 a couple of times up in Montana back when that was sorta legal there. The new (to me) Spyder I've only had up to 80 or so... so far. 75 is legal on I-25 starting just about a half mile North of here. It has been a lot of years since I've done any of that 145-150 stuff."What's the matter with Black?"http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118444.jpgNothing... just that the copper (sunburst orange I think) and blue were more to my tastes. :)"I'm sitting beside Lake Teton"That lake is about 80 miles from Rhonda's home area... beautiful place... been there a bunch of times. I can never forget the 1st time I was there... June 16, 1975. We were 2 days into our honeymoon and were going up to do the loop around Yellowstone. It was very strange to see the lake all frozen over with snowdrifts on it in mid June."Of course I like green also, the green one isn't near as fast as the black one, but it'll pull a lot more :-lol"I dunno... the green one looks pretty sporty to me. :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118445.jpgBut I guess a similar statement could be made regarding "my green one". ;)"The fastest street legal car I've ever had the chance to drive was a 2005 ford GT40 Wow!!"Very cool car... wow indeed!"... I never had something set up like this, 550HP Supercharged,intercooled,4cams, 32 valves (well my Mark had 4 cams and 32 valves) but it wouldn't do 0-60 in 3.3 secs :-lol"Well the vette had the 4 cams & 32 valves covered but came in at a mere 400HP. :)The fastest I can remember driving on the street (I-5 count as a street?) was on a Summer evening back in '69... a tad over 155 in a Dodge Charger Daytona... not mine... didn't have any money then either. :-lolhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118446.jpgMy current toy has 4 cams to but only 24 valves... and alas only 210HP. But it is plenty quick for me these days... will go plenty fast enough to land me in jail iffn' I'm not careful. :-eekhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/118447.jpgBesides... I've become a ragtop lover in my old age... and this one is great fun with the top down. :)Good to hear from you Allan... sorry it took me a couple of days to find time to respond. :-shy
