Chatter volume

Featured Replies

I'm sure this has been asked already, but is there a way to turn down the volume for the chatter? I also use FDC and the diffrence in volume is overwhelming. Thanks,Vic

Vic,Not unless you have a sound editing program. You can turn down the sound for the entire adventure (Settings/Sound/Lessons-Adventures), but not just the chatter.

Thanks,Vic I,m working on the .wav editing right now.I did all the .wav editing for the 2.0 CD so I'm real familiar with it.Should not take too long. Will just have to figure out how to make available to those that need.Just got FDC myself and know what you mean. Now that I'm building a real 737NG cockpit I have the motivation to get back into RC and FS2k2.What I,d like to see myself is John D and Jamie do a voice set for Capt. and FO for FDC so we have the same folks on the flightdeck :-)Keep you guys posted.Chris

Chris,What software did you use to "radioize" the controllers in RC? If it was along the lines of Sound Forge, what settings did you use? I hzve never been able to duplicate the clarity of the wavs while still having the radio effect.

Hi Scott, I use ProTools and a Macintosh G3 for all my sound work.I'm thinking of cleaning up John D's voice a bit for airliner use. When I radioized the voices a couple years ago it was based on what I hear in real life on my David Clarke HC10-30 headset in the small (noisey) pipers. Now after spending some time in heavy simulators (777 and NG) its a whole different ball game wearing those ultra light Telex headsets in ultra quiet flightdecks, often with only one ear covered.Luckily I still have all of Johns original clean .wavs to work with.My goal is to have two sets of .wavs each for Pilot/FO, Heavy iron or light planes. After I'm done if John approves, I will upload em to whoever will host em :-) Chris

Thanks Chris. I figured it wasn't low-end software. ;-)
