How do I get arond this in RC

Featured Replies

When taxing to the runway, occasionally I notice an aircraft just in front of me holding short at the same runway.. The aircraft can sit there the entire time and never move ..there is never any clearance for the aircraft to take off. Instead with me waiting directly behind it, I'm given permission to taxi onto the runway for take off...So what do I do? I find myself taxing around the other aircraft just to get to the runway...Is there anyway around this...I'm I doing something wrong? PLease help!!Troy

Troy,As has been said many times here, when any adventure is run, FS stupidly turns off the default ATC, so lets the AI hanging with whatever their last instruction was. So those AI told to taxi to a runway will never, ever take off. Turn off AI when you run an adventure (set it to 0%). This will solve your problem as well as prevent any memory drain as time goes on.

thanks alot Scott

Sometimes they do disappear by themselves - but if not, i change the time with 1 min. and then it reads textures and stuff again and - voila - the stupid AI plane has gone. Also keep an eye on the runway - sometimes there's a plane "parked" there..., so perhaps a good thing to do this everytime, after having loaded Radar Contact.

You have to change time by 1 hour for 2K2 to reload everything (which is a pain that it does this when manually changing time). A better way is to simply turn off the AI by setting traffic density to 0% in settings/ATC. This will get rid of the AI without having to reload everything.
