September 5, 200223 yr Hello John, There is no RWY 5R available as an aternative in RC. It does shown up on FS2002 as well as in FSNav but RC GND does not have this runway available. Seems non-existent as far as RC is concerned. Runway 23L-5R is the major runway at KPVD and 16/34 is used by the Pros only as a last resort as 34 takes the aircraft right over Cranston, RI and Providence, RI. All the other runways are indeed available.Blais
September 5, 200223 yr Hi Blais,I believe the problem with your missing runway is with how you are exporting the flight plan to RC. When using FSNav, don't select any runways. Just export as is and all the runways should show up in RC. Give it a try and report back.Take care,David
September 5, 200223 yr I did just that John and recompiled it. I will execute that sequence again now and will get back to you.TnxBlais
September 5, 200223 yr Good early morning, Well, I moved all the flightplans into a SPARE folder, to avoid confusion, and this time did export the single flightplan to RC. The results were as you stated. All runways are now available to choose from. Great !! As a result I now have a question. Why are the runways, as displayed in the 'Radar Contact Export Options' window there at all? It seems, judging by what happened at KPVD, any RWY that may have been selected in that above mentioned window would not have been existent when you scrolled the line in RC. Not sure why you guys programmed RC that way.Scratching
September 5, 200223 yr Blais,It's not RC doing that in FSNav, it's FSNav. Helge made that option long ago for the RC export because of a plan in 1.x that was scrapped. So now it's just best to not move rinways in FSNav when one exports. The RC export in planners is done away with in V3, so all planners are usable, including the default FS one. You can load an FS2000/FS2002 plan directly into RC. JD has changed the method of getting the data for everything.
September 5, 200223 yr Hello John, I thought about that as we (co-pilot and I) were making our first RC flight from KPVD to KORD. The more I think of it the more stupid my comment was. Of course I was still in FSNav and thus this is the info sent to RC. Thanks again for the tip and the lowdown.Blais
